All On 4 Dental Implants ManchesterOur All On 4 dental implants replaces a whole arch of missing teeth using only 4 dental implants at the very best prices.
All On 4 dental implants are a form of cosmetic dentistry, which is a procedure that focuses solely on giving someone a completely new row of teeth and a new smile, all in the same day. The name of this procedure comes from the process that is carried out during the treatment, replacing a whole arch of missing teeth using only 4 dental implants supporting a bridge or fixed denture, all in one day ensuring that you have a healthy and complete smile. Two implants are firstly placed centrally and the other 2 implants are tilted usually at 45 degrees to avoid a sinus lift procedure. The bridge is then placed which locks all of the implants together, this enables the healing process to begin with a minimal risk of failure. Due to these rear implants being placed at a tilt, there is an opportunity for us to use longer implants. This is extremely beneficial for patients that have this treatment carried out on them as they may have otherwise required bone-grafting to be carried out on them due to a lack of tissue around the implant area.
The main advantage that the all on 4 dental implants technique has over traditional dental implants and bridges methods is that it only requires 4 dental implants to be placed in your mouth. The traditional methods that are in use usually require at least 6 implants to replace a full arch of missing teeth and after this these are then left for at least 6 months before the bridges can be fixed on your teeth. Along with this, traditional methods can sometimes require bone-grafting aspects which aren’t nearly as common with the all on 4 technique. These traditional methods are not only more expensive than the all on 4 technique but they also require more implants and additional bone-grafting, they also take a lot longer too with a lot more visits to the clinic. Whereas the all on 4 technique is all over and completed within a single day with no need for any more visits!
For those of you that might be sceptical of the all on 4, it has been around for over 10 years now, it was first developed in the 1990’s. The technique was developed by a Portuguese implant dentist called Dr Paulo Malo and a dental implant manufacturer Nobel Biocare. They used a combination of bio-mechanics, extensive clinical research and computer simulations to see the affects of the all on 4 technique. When this technique was first created, it was a breakthrough within the implant dentistry as it allowed people to receive a full set of implants in one day with no more visits to clinics and without the use of any bone-grafting whatsoever. The technique can’t be performed by all clinics as it is quite specialist and takes a lot of training and expensive technology. This said, practitioners that do implement this technique have reported very high success rates.
As with any kind of implant treatment that is being carried out, a detailed evaluation has to be carried out beforehand. This evaluation will consist of a CT scan, X-rays, measurements of impressions and bone density. This procedure will let the dentist know the best course of action for them to take regarding the treatment that is going to be carried out on you. All of this allows the dentist to plan your treatment accordingly and determine if any teeth extractions are going to be necessary. Once all of these diagnostics have been carried out, surgical appointments will be made for the teeth extractions and/or the all on 4 dental implants operation.
After the operation has been completed, appointments will have been pre-scheduled over the next 6 months or so. This is to ensure your gums have fully recovered ready for the final, stronger set of permanent teeth to be put in place (this is determined by your treatment plan).
This all on 4 technique can cost you anywhere between £8500 and £14000 per arch. The prices are entirely dependent on different clinic prices, experience of the surgeon and the materials that are used when the surgery is carried out.
